The Story of... 'VIDEOGRAPHERS NEEDED"

SkyLine Films & Media is reaching to out ALL videographers who wish to be a part of a documentary film that is sure to make an impact on the situations of America. We are currently not permitted to reveal too much information on this film, however we can say what is needed from all those who are willing to participate in this film. We are looking for videographers with all types of experience, so if you are just getting started please don't be discouraged. The more years experience the better, but it is not necessary. Here is what we need from you:

• A video camera (or camera) with 720-1080p HD recording capabilities
• Proper lighting to shoot in the day or night (night and day shots will be needed)
• Excellent audio recording (must be of good quality to be used for the film)
• Filming must not exceed 30mins

We are looking for serious videographers who wish to be a part of this film. We would also like to make you aware that all applicants must be in agreement with a "Nondisclosure Clause" before we can release any information on this documentary. SkyLine Films & Media™ Week in Review...

What's going on world?! We hope that this update finds you all in good spirits and health! Anyway enough of that, let's get down to what we've been up to this past week:

First we just want to acknowledge the 10th anniversary of the tragic events that took place on 9/11/2001, our prayers and condolences go out to all the families and friends that were directly affected by this act of cowardliness. 

So to recap, we did quite a few shoots in this past week in both Florida & Hawaii so for that we truly say thank you for continuing to not only support us but to also choose us to be a part of your special events and moments!!! So with that being said our tip of the week is to remember that your video as well as photo's are technically "light", if you have poor/bad lighting then that is ultimately what your end product will be & not even the best post editors on the market will be able to restore your videos or photos but so much, so always think about your lighting! .

Moving right along, we've also decided that we will launch our very own digital magazine in the very near future (release date TBA). It has been something we've thought about for quite some time now and the research and the relationships needed to make this particular venture take off and succeed have been laid on a very solid foundation. So please be on the lookout for SkyLine Magazine!

Last but not least, there is definitely a time and place for everything and this week has proved no different. This past week we've taken a little more time to make sure we are in the "places" in which we want & NEED to be at the appropriate times in our journey. The vision, the dreams, the aspirations don't run on "wishing" or "luck" but rather determination, insomnia, blood, sweat & tears. In other words, the pains of true success don't come at the most affordable of prices so you got to ask yourself just how much are you willing to pay & or give up!

"Rollin on the River" Car Show Sept. 17th, 2011

On Sat. Sept 17th SkyLine Films & Media went to out to view cars that were a part of Jacksonville's "Rollin on the River" Car Show at The Jacksonville Landing. This is a display of a variety of classic and modern cars. There was a great amount of time spent by the owners who have in some cases rebuilt and restored these cars from the ground up. We appreciate everyone who was a part of this event and thank you for allowing us the chance to come out and capture this moment.

It's been another long grueling day for the team at SkyLine Films & Media but as you may have guest it we wouldn't have it any other way! YES, we excel under the most challenging circumstances only because we've prepared ourselves to do just that. However, the main reason for this entry is to once again put a little light on our current promotional give away. After months of planning, coordinating & working groups our website finally revealed itself to the masses and we've been getting great feedback & support. Some of you may or may not know that we also have a background in music, music production and artist management from other businesses that we still currently run and own along with SkyLine Films & Media. So as we looked for a way to give back to our core supporters as well as our newer ones we rolled out "The GiveAway."

A Benefit for the family of High Chief XL Walter Saole-After thoughts...

SkyLine Films & Media was on location at Hank's Cafe located in the heart of Chinatown last evening for what was plain and simple a showing of love for one of Hawaii's own, High Chief XL, Walter Saole. Hawaii's hip-hop scene showed up in full force with live performances by some of the best "HI-State" hip-hop artist from all islands and special appearances by Rakaa from Dilated Peoples & world famous DJ Babu were in the building to also pay tribute.

Some may think of only island sounds hailing from the 808 state, but nothing could be further from the truth. Like the volcano on the Big Island, the hip-hop scene here is very active with the movement growing stronger by day.

SkyLine Films & Media™ has arrived!

Hello world, this is the 1st of many updates that will come from us so check back often as we will do our best to keep all of you informed with the latest and greatest info as it becomes available. After successfully launching our website on Saturday 3 September 2011 & months of planning and coordinating we are now better positioned to serve our respective markets here in Honolulu, HI. & Jacksonville, FL. We have several projects in the works and just finished and released the fully edited HD video shoot of "The Collision" shot on location at Hawaiian Brian's in Honolulu, HI. on the the 27th of August. It was a great turn out as well as a very fun project for us. Some of the best hip-hop artist Hawaii has to offer we're on scene! You can check out the video here: The Collision .
